So, Do Vision Boards Really Work?
NOT ALWAYS!
That is, if you think you can just put together some images and words on a poster board or canvas and store it away – NOPE, it probably won’t do much in that case.
I’ve had people tell me that their vision board was fun to make but it never did anything for them.
It’s TRUE, if you don’t do anything with it, it won’t work!
Vision boards are a great tool to help:
- Keep you focused on what you want
- Keep you on track with your goals
- Bring your attention back to what you really want to create
I remember putting together my first board when I was in my 20’s.
When I look back and compare it to my more recent ones, I can see how what mattered to me then and what is important to me now has changed quite a bit.
What's super cool is looking back at my first board I made over 10 years ago and seeing just how much of it has happened.
Like, the:
✅ Car
✅ Watch
✅ Salary- I WAY surpassed that goal
✅ Career (I put a career title on my board when at that time I was not in that field – had no training , education or qualifications in that area- nor was I working towards it in any way)
✅ Move across the country
NOTE ❇: When I put together all of these “wants” on my vision board, I had NO idea how I was going to get them and wasn’t working on them AT THAT TIME.
When I look back at my first vision board, it totally worked for me!
As I got older, I started learning WHY the vision board worked and what I could do to expedite my results.
Now, there are other ways to accomplish what a vision board can do for you and your goals but isn’t it much more fun to have something beautiful that you create to keep you on track?
