A couple weeks ago I brought up Graziosi’s “The 4 C’s of Confidence” from his book Millionaire Success Habits and shared with you the first C which is COURAGE. If you are interested in reading more about that post, you can find it here

Can you guess what the 2nd C for Confidence would be?

 (drum roll)……..COMMITMENT

Of course, when we commit to something and stick with it we feel better about ourselves.

When you commit to an eating plan and don’t stick to it, how do you feel about yourself?  Proud? Probably not.

If you are unsure of what you are mainly committed to these days, I want you to look at two things:

  1. Your bank statements
  2. Your calendar

Where you spend your time and money will show you your commitments.  If you say you are committed to your marriage but your bank account and calendar don’t reflect much time spent together, doing something for that person or with them in mind, then at least you know where to start!

I am totally committed to my health and to personal development- my bank statement and my time is in line with that.

What about you?

What 3 things are you committed to being, doing, and having?

Now, I didn’t say, what are you trying because the word “try” implies a chance to back out at any time which means not committed.

So, what are you really wanting to commit to so that you can experience more joy in your life?

Getting a better job?  Making more money?  Having optimal health?  More energy?  Improving your relationships?

Once you know what you truly value in this life and what you want to commit to, then you can start taking action towards it.

Sometimes being committed scares me!  Even the word commitment can feel scary to some people. It helps when you can start with a small or micro-commitment towards that goal.

For example, if you want to be committed to better health, you can make a small commitment to getting to bed at a reasonable hour every night.  If you are committed to finding more passion and purpose in your career or post retirement, you can commit to doing at least ONE thing each week that you love, brings a smile to your face, and lights up your whole being!

If you are clear on your commitments but not sure how to take the next step, I would happy to set aside some time to chat and help you to gain more clarity and confidence about your next adventure! Click here to schedule some time with me in a ReDiscovery Session.

Stay tuned for the next C in the 4 C’s of Confidence!
